Important Tips for Renters

As the renter, it is up to you to perform due diligence on every aspect of the home you are renting. Follow these important guidelines:

• NEVER send money through Western Union or via Money Orders. If any owner requests that you pay by Western Union or money order, or if at any point you feel uncomfortable in your dealings with an owner, please contact us immediately at salessupport@myholidayhomerental.com.  
• Ask for a minimum of two references of past guests with contact information.
• Always speak to the owner by phone before sending any money.
• Unless dealing with a Canadian owner we recommend that you pay through credit card or Paypal which protects you, the renter.
• When sending an inquiry, ensure you have checked the home availability for the dates you want.
• Send out 3 to 6 inquiries to different homes to get a good comparison of rates.
